La Regalade opening up in Kitsilano?

I heard a rumor going around among my restaurant friends that La Regalade Cafe is opening up in Kitsilano? Can anyone confirm? I had such a great experience but, it's so far into West Vancouver.

My wife and i went there two weeks ago and the food was good but the service sucked First we waited 1 hour for food and then when our order came they gave it to another table WTF.
I am curious about the first tuesday of every month suckling pig special, please tell me if you have had this .

We have been to Cafe Regalade several time and have never had an issue with the service. We find this place pretty solid all around in terms of food and service.

Oh interesting - I'd never connected the dots before. Had wondered who Steeve Raye was. This will be a very welcome addition to the area - and very tempting stop on the way home from work. La Regalade is just too far away (ie, out of walking or reasonable cab zone) for us.

Canny of him to recognise that the business wasn't working and to then make the moves to try to make it work. I'm looking forward to it. It seems like too many have been trying to do the same old coffee/pizza/pub food in this area, and something different could be just what the doctor ordered. It seems to be working for La Ghianda.
