San Francisco Kitchen--shabu shabu in Nashua NH

We happened to be on Main Street in Nashua on Tuesday night and dropped into SFK for a warming meal of shabu shabu. For the uninitiated, it's a version of hot pot cooked right at the table. SFK has special tables with built in heating units--they bring out a metal bowl filled with your choice of miso or kimchee stock, and you build a robust soup of veggies and several meat choices, from ribeye to ostrich. The finale is udon noodles cooked in the enriched stock, perfect for a frigid night.

I've only been to Pho88 once--had the pho, which to my taste, wasn't as rich in flavor as the pho I get at Golden Bowl in Manchester. BTW, my new fave at GB is #33, a spicy beef sate noodle soup, give it a try!
