Some reasonable dining in Ithaca, not so sure about the romance. You could do worse than Taverna Banfi at the Statler. Valet parking is complimentary check the website.

You may want to try out The Carriage House- intimate space that just adjacent to campus. http://www.carriagehousecafe.com/index.php

For a sample dinner menu (to give you an idea of offerings and pricing): http://www.allmenus.com/ny/ithaca/255183-carriage-house-cafe/menu/

Depending on what kind of dinner it is, you'll probably want to check whether they have live music there on your special evening(s).

Or you can get a booth at Madeline's, enjoy dinner, and linger over one of their many wonderful desserts.

I had lunch at Carriage House 2 weeks ago. Food and service were very good, nice atmosphere.

if you are looking for an amazing meal you should definitely head to mercato! it is just off the commons across the street from hal's. any place you go can be "romantic" if the food is tasty and you are with the right company.
