Fuzhou Style Cuisine - Richardson

  • 5

I am curious about a new joint that recently sprung up next door to Maxims boasting Fuzhou style cuisine. I havent gotten around to it, but I'd like to go. Has anyone been? I hear Fuzhou(fujian) cuisine is lighter in flavor than other regional cuisines, and there is a particular soup fetish.

Anyone?

  1. Let me know when you are going and I will meet you. Preferably on a weekend.

Are they open Sunday? Do you mean on Greenville north of beltline, right?

    2. I'm bumping this up because I've been sorely missing Fuzhou for the last couple years. Anyone know of a Fujian style restaurant in Dallas?

One possibility is Umeko Grill in Plano. The owner is Taiwanese and they have a pretty good traditional Taiwanese menu. From what other chowhounders report, I'd avoid the Japanese and Americanized Chinese food at Umeko, as it sounds like it's unexceptional. (I haven't been to the Fujian restaurant referenced).
