Any Great Hunan Places in Bay Area Like The One in The New York Times Review?

Yesterday's NYT food section had a glowing review of a Hunan restaurant in Queens. The dishes sounded great and it made me wonder if there are comparable places out here that people would recommend.

Here's a link to the article:

  1. I've had many of these dishes at China Village.
The original posting has a link to Great Hunan, but I don't think much of that place.
Here's a list of some CV dishes that resemble the ones in the NY Times article:
#122 Village Specialty Lamb with Cumin
#53 Hunan Smoked Pork with Dry Turnip
#57, #58 Pork Shoulder (two different version)
    #142 Green bean

Also, I suspect that if you asked Mr Yao (owner of CV), he could probably make some of the other dishes. Or point out the menu items that resemble those dishes.

Huh, I never realized they had Hunan dishes. Do they have smoked things?
