Is there any source in the bay area (preferably close to downtown SF) of organic flowers suitable for cooking ?

    Berkeley Bowl has them often.

Would the flower mart have anything like that?

They almost always have them in mixed salad bags at the Happy Boy farms stand at the Berkeley farmers' market. They're a pretty big farm--I wouldn't be surprised if they were at other farmers' markets or maybe you could get in touch with them about a culinary flower order.

Thanks everyone. So, nothing in San Francisco proper? With all the foodies there, I thought finding organic flowers would be easy.
