Thai Town lunch today
I need to run an errand today near Hollywood and Gower at lunch time. My normal Thai Town lunch spot is Sanamluang for a plate of Pad Kee Mao.
However, I will be walking today, and Sanamluang looks to be a bit of a (though manageable) walk.
Should I make the trek or is there somewhere else on my journey more worthwhile?
Thanks.

About the same distance away, but much better imho is Pa-Ord Noodle on Sunset and Hobart, a block east of Western. And a little closer, better than Sanamluang but not as good as Pa-Ord is Ruen Pair on Hollywood just past Serrano.
While not Thai, closer to Hollywood and Gower is Tamarind Deli on Sunset and Tamarind for outstanding sandwiches. And the new Go Burger on Sunset and Vine has been getting rave reviews. And if you really don't want to get your walk on, Al Wazir on Hollywood and Gower has pretty good Middle Eastern food.

re: lil mikey
A fried came along for the ride, so Sanamluang it was. I've been to Al Wazir and that was my backup choice. Will have to give your other suggestions a try.
What specifically do you get at Pa-Ord and Ruen Pair? I pretty much specifically go to Sanamluang for the Pad Kee Mao and when in season, morning glory.

In addition to those dishes at Pa-Ord, we like the boat noodles (#1 and #2). Basically everything we've had there has been good. I had one lame dish about 6 months ago which was the tom yum goong without noodles. I totally misordered, and I'm surprised they served it to me. This is a noodle restaurant. They had just opened, I didn't know what to order, they didn't know how to tell me what to order.....Anyway, now we like everything we've tried, including the papaya salad.
At Ruen Pair, we like the Nam Tok, occasionally the pad thai, and the pad kee mao. We also get the papaya salad here.
But if you like morning glory, try Jitlada. That's our favorite dish there.
And if you like fried pork belly (and what's not to like?), try Wat Dong Moon Lek. It's the best in the area.
