Birthday Dinner Brooklyn Sat night... Suggestions needed

Hi - I am coming in to town to celebrate my sister's birthday Sat night -- she lives in the slope -- and loves Al di La -- but alas no reservations accepted, and I'd like to have a firm time/location..

Does anyone have any suggestions for a place with innovative, clean cooking that would be a special treat (leaning toward Italian, French or New American places, but open to other suggestions too).

Thanks!

Second Applewood. Or, Convivium Osteria...they are on Open Table and usually not hard to get a reservation.

Ditto ditto. Applewood or Convivium. Both are great. Applewood is more special. Convivium is more... convivial?

Thanks for the responses -- Applewood's apparently VERY busy.. (only res. 5pm) and Convivium has nothing...

But I'll keep these on my hot list. If you ever need any info on Boston, don't hestitate.

Stone Park Cafe is a bit easier to get into than Applewood and Convivium. Open Table shows they have a 5:45P and a 9:15P available.

If you only tried open table, you should definitely call the restaurant/s. Many busy places do not release all of their tables to the online reservations.
