Macarons

I have had macarons but never fell in love with them till I went to Miette in San Francisco. Chewy, fluffy, crisp, perfect. Where are the best macarons in Seattle?

  1. Macaroons?????

    1. Have you tried Bakery Nuvo in West Seattle? Probably the best I have had in the city.

I'll second Bakery Nuvo. Lots of yummy flavors, too!

        2. Trade Joes has some pretty good frozen ones.

          1. Macarons are my favorite cookie! The best ones I've had in Seattle are from Honore in Ballard and from Bakery Nouveau in West Seattle. Le Panier in Pike Place makes decent ones as well. Sadly, the macarons at Belle Epicurean have diminished greatly in quality. (Laduree ships world wide!)

                Third Honore

            2. Try Bakery Nouveau or Honore. I've found the quality pretty inconsistant nearly everywhere I've had them in the US, including Miette, so this isn't a huge endorsement of either of those places, but they're worth a try. The worst I've had are at Le Panier.

              1. The frozen ones from Trader Joes are probably as good as Bakery Nouveau or Belle Epicurean. Honore are probably the best you will find in Seattle.
