Happy Hours and Rotating Specials Nights
OK, there was a thread started on "best happy hours" that never really took off. Pretty much everyone has a HH nowadays, but I'm looking for places that on a particular day have a great rotating special that is either unique to that day, and/or is heavily discounted off the regular price. Can be dive-y to highbrow, I go to both.
For instance, King's has "Plain Jane Tuesdays" when you can get a damn fine cheeseburger and a pint of Hamm's for $4. Bad Albert's has their prime rib night on Fridays. One night--I forget which--Goofy's has a decent roast chicken plate also for $4. That sort of thing. If Canlis has torchon of foie gras one night, bring it.
For each day of the week, it'd be nice to have a couple of places known for having good rotating specials. Thanks.

The Ravenna Alehouse is starting all day Sunday Happy Hour. They usually have a pretty good selection of beer on tap and their sandwiches are okay. Don't get the wings, though. They don't have a fryer.

Little Red Bistro has $10 steak night on Monday. T-bone or flat iron.

Earl's on the ave has "Steak Night" on Wednesdays, and it's $4 for a pint-sized well drink that is stronger than your average cocktail during happy hour ('til 8) every night.

re: Brunhilde
Brunhilde: Thanks. I was at Knarr once a few months ago, but just for a beer. It appeared that the men's room was one of the most active retail drug markets in the city. And--strangely enough--the day after, my credit card number was used fraudulently. Not going back, sorry. But thanks for the reco. I'll try Earl's.

I like the specials (and food in general) at The Attic in Madison Park. http://atticalehouse.com/
Also, Cheeky Cafe http://www.cheekycafe.com/ on Jackson serves multi-ethnic comfort food with specials you won't find elsewhere, like Oxtail Wednesdays!
