Great Fried Shrimp in Westchester
Please recommend some places, here's my list:
June and Ho: Fried shrimp sandwich with lettuce, tomato, avocado, and tartar sauce on ciabatta (lunch special, depends which day you go)
Vinny's Lunch: Fried shrimp with spaghetti and marinara sauce (Fridays only, RC tradition, they have calamari and seafood salad too)
Highridge Fishery: Either this past summer or the one before I had shrimp and fries from their lunch menu (not sure if it's still available)
Ribs on the Run: Fried shrimp with cornbread and choice of two sides, I had fries and cole slaw. They also have a rib/shrimp combo.
I recently had fish at Aquario that was very good and noticed quite a few broiled shrimp dishes on the menu, they probably would fry if asked.

re: annrudy
About 10 years ago there was some online magazine review called "The Best of Westchester" which might have been the predecessor to Westchester Magazine and the Bayou was featured (in the southern food category I think). Hunan Ritz was declared the best chinese restaurant, and Ruffalo (remember them?) the best Italian. Bayou's head chef eventually left for Ruby's according to sources. I've been meaning to try both for a while.

re: eatermom
I have been meaning to try Gus's for a while and this thread reminded me to do so. We went tonight with our 2 kids, ages 6 and 4. My 6 y.o. had the popcorn shrimp (appetizer portion). It was just okay, not great. I saw other fried shrimp on the menu but we didn't try it.
I will say, though, that it was not a cheap dinner. I had a salad and stuffed sole, my husband had fish & chips and so did my 4 y.o. (he had kids portion) and again, my daughter had popcorn shrimp and fries. With 2 sodas and 2 o.j.'s for drinks, it was $110 (with tax/tip).
Glad we went, not sure we will return so fast. Not because it was expensive, but because it was expensive and the food was just okay.

re: cubanat
Hajime is known for sushi, sounds like I should try their cooked seafood too.
Is that the Panda Pavilion in Greenwich near the car dealers? I haven't heard so many good things about them but if you say so.......
Since when is fried shrimp an odd topic? Everybody loves it. You act as if I said Kashi cereal crusted anchovies and Brussel sprouts.
