Where's everyone going for Valentine's Day?
Anyone going out? Looking for ideas/suggestions.

A good friend of mine was a waitress for years at a top local restaurant. She always insists that going out on New Year's Eve or Valentine's means higher prices, lower quality, and more clsely-spaced tables. Yet, I hate to be stuck preparing and cleaning a big meal on V-day. What we usually do is some filet mignon (so easy to prepare), a nice salad (pre-made the previous day), lobster bisque (from Costco) fancied up, and a special treat from a bakery like Elizabethan. And, of course, a champagne splurge.

Cooking dinner at home for the wife.
But I just came back from lunch at Cafe Chloe and their Valentine's Day dinner looked great while reading it. Of course, since I wasn't planning on going to it I have trouble recalling it now.
Give them a call, I'm sure they'll read it to you over the phone.

Sorry, but will be cooking at home for Valetine's Day. Too many times in the past we were disappointed when restaurants crammed in more tables and we were "treated" to all the conversations of people 1 foot away from us, with mediocre food to boot. We'll do good filet mignons, wine, homemade bread and chocolate truffle brownies and go out on a less commericialized day.
