CHOW WORTHY in FT. LAUDERDALE after 10pm open late on weekday (thurs)?

Looking for something chow worthy for a New York musician finishing a session at 10 pm in the Ft. Lauderdale Oakland Park Blvd East area...but doesn't want that immediate seedy area--would prefer not to have to travel further north, because he needs to travel back south to Aventura.

Open to all cuisines except Japanese--and would prefer Chinese--however must be authentic chinatown style and he wanted to try King Palace in NMB, however I see a listing in Sunrise..is this the same King Palace as NMB..is it good?--He wants salt and pepper squid and clams with black bean sauce---chinatown style....

If it is the same place..anyone know their hours can't find a website for them--it's a bit more west than he wanted to travel, but if it's really good, he'll do it....

Any other suggestions in the area near to I95 and preferably headed south, but not too far from where he's leaving because he'll be hungry :)

THank you for your help!!

  1. Try checking out SIlver Pond - it's one of th emore authentic Chinese (Hong Kong Style) in the area. Call ahead - not sure of the hours. It is not quite on your route to Aventura but not too far off 95.
