Liana's or Biagio's Osteria? Looking for Fairfield County Dinner Spot.

ginadv Feb 8, 2011 06:10 PM

I'm looking for a cozy, authentic osteria for dinner tomorrow night--good, simple food and not too pricey. These two places are standing out. I'm meeting someone and Fairfield is our halfway mark, though Stratford would only be a bit further for me to drive...anyway, looking for suggestions.

Biagio's is just fine. If it is not too cold (yeah right) eating outside would be inviting.

    Good service.

I like them both, with Liana's besting Biagio's.

Biagio's is the best (upscale) Italian I've ever had - so guess I'll have to try Liana's for a fair comparison. But Biagio's food is to die for in my book. I swoon just thinking about that stuffed scallop, for one thing.
