Recs on Shrimp and Grits in Orlando area

Got a yen for S&G but the best I've found is in Lakeland.

I don't mind the drive but there must be some places closer that serve this great dish.

Help.

  1. I haven't been there in a long time, but Two Blondes and a Shrimp in Sanford had really good shrimp and grits.

Their website is http://www.twoblondesandashrimp.com , and I wrote the first Chowhound reviews on them back in 2008: http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/506460

I LOVE the shrimp and grits @ Two Blondes. That is my new standard and I have tried to find something comparable closer to me in Tampa and have had no luck.

    2. Ravenous pig serves it as a appetizer.

The ones at the Pig are very good. It's decent-sized even though it is an app. Another small plate or a salad and it would be a good meal.

      2. The Lakeland restaurant is Harry's Seafood and Bar - many Cajun/ Creole dishes and the best Shrimp and Grits i've had so far.

        Need more recs.

        1. It's on the appetizer menu at Boathouse in Winter Park. The restaurant has great "Southern-inspired American cuisine" but I haven't tried that dish yet.

          1. Tibby's on Aloma Ave in Winter Park has some good S & G

            1. Bit of a drive but if you're ever in St. Augustine the Floridian has a unique take on shrimp and grits that is very good.
