Porterhouse Rocks. They have wonderful steaks interesting seafood and amazing spinach salads. They also have ice cream drinks and a great choice of bourbons

How about NW burbs? Maple Grove?
Pittsburgh Blue - owned by Parasole - I have not been there myself but have heard some positive feedback.

how about east? the hanger room in wilernie is serving some of the best dry-aged beef around, and sorry to say, you will not have trouble getting a table.

It's a little kitschy and certainly not fine dining, but Lindey's Steak House is pretty good. Very limited options, but what they do is done very well.

If you want a one-pound steak, Lindy's is a fine place to go. Otherwise, you're pretty much out of luck there.

That's a good point. On the other hand it's also part of the whole Lindey's experience. They have their "one size fits all" menu, delivered on a placard rather than a menu. You get the tasteless iceberg lettuce salad, the decent cheesy potato gratin, some pickled water melon rind, and your steak - which is always a sirloin. The place it a total throwback, and if you're into that sort of experience that's part of its charm. However that steak is really, really good.
