Chowhounds jonesing for lutefisk will have to find another source. Pearson's Edina Restaurant has closed. However, a new restaurant called the 50th Street Cafe will be opening soon - perhaps this week - in its place. More info here: http://edina.patch.com/articles/iconi...

  1. bob s- you had me scared! I thought you meant the candy company. Phew. Sad to see the restaurant go, even though I had never dined there.

Sorry about that! I don't eat nut rolls - a character flaw I know - so I didn't even associate the two names.

    2. Can't say that I am sorry to see this place go. Overpriced average quality home cookin?

And while I still enjoy Pearson's candy, I wish they would go back in time and remind themselves of how good their nut rolls used to be. And them make them like that again.

      1. More info about the 50th Street Cafe appeared in the Strib today. It'll be owned by the folks who own the New Uptown Cafe, the Grandview Grill, and the New Louisiana Cafe. It'll be interesting to see how they do head to head against the Edina Grill which is right around the corner.
