Well I googled Seahorse Soup and this came up as the number two option in the results. I've never heard of it, but it wouldn't surprise me. Wonder what will come of this.

Andrew Zimmern. Bizarre Foods. Nothing online suggests it's "amazing." It supposedly has certain medicinal qualities but is otherwise disgusting. Looking at pictures of it makes me nauseated.
I would bet that you can't find it anywhere on this continent, never mind Edmonton of all places.

You should be able to buy dried seahorses at any of the Chinese herbal shops here in town.
You won't find this served in restaurants here. It's a herbal remedy and any soup that uses it as an ingredient is supposed to be medicinal, not food. Seahorses can be prescribed for ailments anywhere from asthma and joint pain, to impotence and skin conditions.
I would recommend staying away from any Chinese herbal soups if at all possible. Most of them are NASTY tasting.
