romantic dinner -- ideas? delicious/unusual -- anywhere in RI!

I need to choose a locale for dinner. Ideas, please? Not too expensive or extravagant, but very delicious. I love to cook and eat, but I don't usually go out (other than for great deli sandwiches), so being treated to a special romantic meal is really a delight. Anywhere in RI is fine.

thank you, in vinotheresverde! YES, I do like soaking up the ambiance at LF but I'm not stunned by the food (or the service -- realllllly disappointing experience there spring 2010, unfortunately).

I am open in terms of location -- anywhere from Federal Hill to Westerly, or in between ;)

Yeah, there service can be pretty crappy. Fortunately, we've always had very solid food, and their wine/cocktail prices are more than fair.

Newport is your best bet. The Inn at Castle Hill, Bouchards, TSK, and in Westerly The Ocean House. Plus the fact you can walk around and see the sights even at night.
