size of oven needed to roast a turkey?

good afternoon!

we're considering this range:
http://www.ajmadison.com/cgi-bin/ajma...

the main oven is 3.5 cu ft.

we love the reviews but want to be sure we aren't setting ourselves up for disaster with the lower oven. we will probably mainly use the upper oven for roasting vegetables, baking, etc. but we want the occasional turkey!

is there a way to tell if a roasting pan and modest size turkey would fit?

i figure if anyone knows ovens, it's you fine folk.

thanks in advance.

Take your roasting pan to the dealer and see if it fits. Not sure what a modest sized turkey is--12 lb?
Surely that would fit, but I'd take the pan and check it.

If you don't go crazzy with the turkey, it should fit. It's not the cubic feet that matter but the interior dimensions, you could have a lot of cu ft and still not fit a turkey. A regular oven is about 15" high, this one is about 13", so for 2 inches, if you keep it reasonable you should have no problems. Just make sure your roasting pan isn't bigger than the oven space and there is no hangover with the bird.
