World Nutella Day 2/5

http://www.nutelladay.com/ Did you celebrate?

I baked this cake
(along with some chocolate/coconut brownies
)http://www.jamieoliver.com/foodwise/article-view.php?id=2196
along with (my first time trying) Nutella hot chocolate.

Not a bad way to end the day!

Loads of inspiration from around the globe:

Shoot, wish I'd known. We had a rainy, blah day and I spent the whole day baking. I was trying to decide between a batch of Nutella scones and classic currant scones. I went with the currant. Had I but known.

don't mean to rain on everyone's parade, but did you see this?

I've made Nutella and banana filled egg rolls very similar to this recipe lilgi. I'm sure they taste the same & strawberry, kiwi, star fruit would all work nicely. Yum.

Well, I missed out on Nutella baking for the day. Your egg rolls sound awesome, and you reminded me of one of my favorite combos too, strawberry-banana. My kids don't care for it, wish they did.

My kids will be thrilled. For New Year's I made grilled nutella & goat cheese sandwiches (courtesy of "Great Grilled Cheese" by Laura Werlin) and holy cow did everyone -- from age 2 on up -- love them.

Now this is a holiday I can get behind!

Since I missed it, I guess I can spend the next year in preparation...
Tough job, but someone has to do it!

I think it might take more than a year to work through the recipes on that website. Wow.

                  No.

But to be honest, I sort of celebrated yesterday, and the day before that, and the day before that ...

The sunflower seed pb (TJ's) and Nutella brownies are also good; especially with homemade pb ice cream :) but I needed 10 mins more (total of 35) than the recipe called for.

this is the recipe I selected from the Nutella recipe page, sub'ing sunflower seed pb for original. Let me know what you think after you bake your batch!
