Had a superb meal there last night. My first visit with two other couples who have been several time prior...they were unaware of the rumor, which now has proven true, about the departure of the Chef. They did not notice anything amiss. The food was outstanding, perhaps the best meal I have had in a very long time. I think Le Foret will be just fine. The service staff and the maitre'd
were "above and beyond" in their attention to detail. Still thinking about the foie gras and the roasted quail. The desserts were decadent...in a good way. Will definitely return,,,often.

I think a sous chef from Le Foret left there last year and opened Rue 127. The pastry chef went along too I think. What do you think of Rue 127.

I loved the quote in that thread, no matter your credentials "you are only as good as your last meal".

It's a tough industry. Quality, egos, cash flow, something is out there waiting to bite you.
