Happy hour with oysters in St-Pete/Clearwater/Tampa?

  • 7

Hi

I am looking for a affordable place to eat raw oysters on the half shell at happy hour in the St-Pete/Clearwater area.
So far my searches have turned up crabby bill and PJ's Oyster Bar.

Thanks for your help

Patrick

I like PJ's, very fresh and inexpensive. Had a dozen for $6.95, awesome.

Seconded on Crappy Bills, avoid like plague. I wish we could have a "sticky" thread that stayed at the top of the florida board that let people know to avoid that place

The oysters at Z Grille are expensive but they are worth it. I realize that is not what you are asking for but you might consider it. They also have the advantage of being centrally located and a nice place to hang out.

      3. We love PJ's and it is our "go to" casual seafood place. I am weird about oysters and only like small ones which tend to be cold water (or at least so I was told) so I like Zgrille or Mitchell's in Tampa. Also downtown is Central Avenue Oyster Bar, they also only serve Florida oysters.
