Santa Rosa Area - Romantic yet Understated

Well, close to one year ago, my friend (and now long-distance SO) had a perfectly romantic last dinner during her stay here on this side of the country at Piqueos. Now we're looking for a similar experience, but this time in the Santa Rosa area.

We're more into cozy romantic settings - I looked at Madrona Manor and that seems much too fancy, if that makes sense. Cyrus seems a little more restrained and the food is something we both want to taste one of these days, but budget-wise that's out of the running.

Others seem to be more what we're looking for (Farmhouse Inn, Zazu, Dry Creek Kitchen...) Do I have the right sense of things with these three, and are there any other places that fit the bill that I should consider in this general area?

Madrona Manor is not at all too fancy..........it is very wonderful. You will enjoy. Dry Creek is very nice and great food. I live within 5 miles of both and go to both places often.

Definitely Farmhouse Inn. Zazu is a roadhouse and more casual, and while cozy, maybe not that romantic. Dry Creek Kitchen is a very large space. You might consider Restaurant Mirepoix in Windsor, it's in a stand-alone house. http://www.restaurantmirepoix.com/Res...
