Sun-dried tomatoes

Paulustrious Feb 5, 2011 06:09 AM

Does anyone know where I can buy a large packet of dried sun-dried tomatoes, as opposed to fresh (?) sun-dried tomatoes in oil.

East-side of the city would be preferred.

Have you tried the Sun Valley grocery on Danforth, just west of Pape?

No - how sure are you that they have them?

I used to get them from Highland Farms at Kennedy and Ellesmere.

When I asked there they said they only had 'fresh' ones in oil or the tinned variety. I'll try again when I am next there.

They may be in the dried spice section.

Loblaws often has them in their produce section. Look for baskets or little wood shelving units at the end of the rows.

I've seen them in Sobeys at Front/Sherbourne
