新年快乐Where to take four 6'2" Fraternity Brothers for the Lunar New Year
The answer turns out to be Taiwan Cafe. The drive in to Chinatown which usually takes about 25 minutes took 90. Ouch. Forget parking with the prisoner of winter thing going on. As we walked long lines at many Chinatown favorites got me worried. Happiness and prosperity ensued when our ravenous horde scored the big family table with essential lazy susan. So what did we spin and play?
Xia Long Bau soup dumplings (3 orders) w/black vinegar & ginger threads
Fried dumplings/jao tze
5 spice Beef rolled in scallion pancake
Taiwan noodle w/veg and pork
Sauteed pea sprout w/garlic
Littleneck clams w/Basil and black bean sauce (rice)
Large Tsing Taos all around.
Now I'm not nearly done with this new Rabbit. 年年有馀! Where have you been feasting?

Did you see if they had (can't remember Mandarin name) "shredded dough". I had it at a restaurant in Taiwan and it was a rolled puff pastry-like dough, griddled and then shredded. Just plain wheat dough with lard. Can't find it or the name for the life of me.
Also, how did you find the prices/value?
