What would you do with a 2lb Shoulder Roast?
So i got a 2lb piece of boneless shoulder roast but have no idea what to do with it. Got any suggestions?
Assuming it is pork I would definitely cut off the skin and some of the fat layer for cracklings and make pulled pork.
I braised one on Tuesday with beer from our Oktoberfest and dried figs. (that's what was in the house) 350 for 2 - 3 hours.
The obvious choice for most would be a braise for Pot Roast, but if you like your Roast Beef Medium-Rare to Medium temperature, consider slow roasting on a rack @ 200* for 5 hours....or 3.5 -4.0 hours @ 225*.....If your piece of meat is an about an inch in thickness, err on the lower time table. If your meat is closer to two inches thickness, use the higher side of the cook time.
