Fine Dining for Kids
My 8-year old son loves to get dressed up and go out to a "5-Star" restaurant. He isn't a particularly adventurous eater, so I would love to find some places that have a kids' menu. We've already been to Nick and Stef's. We'll go anywhere in the Los Angeles area.

I just posted something about Lukshon, which might have great food, but isn't very kid friendly. They actually told us not to bring kids there and they are not 'kid-friendly'.
I would love to hear some more suggestions.

re: bsquared2
Are you looking, as is the OP, for only "fine dining" with kids? Or, are you looking for just kid friendly suggestions? Because if it's any price range of kid friendly places then that is a subject that has quite a few great responses in the LA board archives: http://www.chow.com/search?query=kid+...

I tote the kids along to all sorts of places. Mastro's in Beverly Hills is great. There is no kids menu, but you can share a big steak and get sides of Mac & Cheese and Creamed spinach that are served family style.
I've also had good kid experiences at Valentino, though it's been a while. They will make you whatever you want off menu. My daughter asked for just a basic pasta, which was so good I wanted to eat it.

My kids love Fogo de Chao, Lawry's The Prime Rib and Pizzeria Mozza. All are very kid friendly.

I would think that very likely suspects for those would be any of the fine dining places within the high end hotels since families are going to be dining where they are staying. Places like Scarpetta or Culina should do.
