Saul and Young Children?

We're having family in from DC and will be celebrating a special occasion. We've never been to Saul and would love to take the family there. If we made a very early reservation, would it be a all feasible to bring a toddler? If it's out of the question, we'd love to hear recommendations for a lovely dinner that would be suitable to bring a toddler.

    Applewood in Park Slope (11th st near 7th ave) is very good and you can bring kids if they are well behaved.
