Went a week ago and had the best bruschetta I've ever eaten! After a nice martini and the appetizer we were really looking forward to the main course.
We had the pot roast and the penne with vodka sauce and chicken. Pot roast was interesting - cooked really well but the spices were a bit too crazy for me? The vodka sauce was not good and would not suggest it.
We will be back from more bruschetta and cocktails in the bar.
I have been a few times (work in the area) for lunch, dinner and happy hour. Here are some of my highlights...
Rice balls - Very good and my favorite there. Cheesy, fried rice with marniara for dipping...
Bruschetta - agree with LuvsBBQ, this is very good here
Calamari - Had this on the HH special the aoili that comes with it is very good and so is the batter they use. Also liked the few hot peppers mixed in for a bit of a kick.
Meatball Sandwich - Good sandwich option, I kinda felt it needed a bit more spice. Love the chips that came with it.
Turkey/Avacado Sandwich - Also good nothing fancy, did I mention how good the chips are??
Mozz/Sun-dried tomato panini - Would love to try this, just not sure it would be worth the price @ 12.50?? Has anyone else had it?
Penne Pasta w/ vodka sauce (had it with and without chicken) - I was not as impressed with the sauce, it was good, just a bit bland for me.
Beef Brasato (pot roast) w/ polenta - I thought this was really good, maybe all the wine I had with this helped with the "crazy" spices? I would get it again for sure...
I haven't had dessert here yet, but I have heard people say there are some really good options.
Overall, its a beautiful restaurant inside and on the patio. All the times I have been there have not been any service issues (ecept for one lunch we couldn't get a table as they were full) and the food has been very good and well prepared. Now I just can't wait for it to warm up again so we can enjoy the patio...
I still see steady traffic at this place just about every day of the week... However I haven't been able to get there for dinner in a couple months (except for a HH here and there) to recommend anything other than what I reviewed earlier. Their patio should be opening soon, or whenever the weather decides to cooperate...
I think next time I go for dinner I'd look at the sea bass, pork tenderloin or the hanger steak entrees to try something different than what I had before...
