Pre-BAM dining: Saul?

If I make a 6:00 reservation at Saul, can we comfortable make a 7:30 curtain at BAM. Other suggestions?

Not sure where you live, but the snow situation is still pretty bad in a lot of Brooklyn-we had a terrible time finding parking in Bay Ridge a few days ago-there are mounds of snow everywhere, reducing the parking spots...I'd agree with Convivium-not quite at the level of Saul, but you don't want to miss your curtain, either.

I agree - that will probably be impossibly tight. Considering your car, maybe Ici in Ft. Greene? We thought it was charming and delicious. Maybe they can do an earlier reservation?

For near Saul quality, I could recommend Convivium Osteria, just a few blocks from BAM in very north Park Slope. No reservation needed for a weeknight at 6. You could also try the new German bistro, Berlyn just across from BAM, but I've neither eaten there or seen any reviews.

I'm not sure how you're planning to get from Saul to BAM, but it's not close. It's definitely not walking distance, and I'm not sure you can necessarily count on getting a cab. Even so, I would probably guess that no, 90 minutes would probably not be enough time.

Maybe you should consider something in Fort Greene?

Thanks. Should have indicated that we'll be driving. I've had good luck with on-street parking on and around Smith St.

If you are driving, want to go to Saul and they can meet your time parameters (ask them) then, go to Saul. You will need to use comercial parking for your car at the BAM end to make this work. Assuming that you are going to BAM HARVEY, ICI is a bit too far away to be convenient. Hoping to see some reports on Berlyn!
