Dinner in SOMA

I'm taking my boyfriend and his dad to City Beer Store in a couple of weeks for a treat since they both really love interesting beers. I'm looking for a good place for dinner afterwards... within walking distance, and in the $20-ish range for entrees. So far I'm looking at Radius and Heaven's Dog, and I'd prefer not to do Italian. I'm hoping for a place that has good food, great drinks, a fun/lively atmosphere and takes reservations.

Any thoughts? Any advice on City Beer Store would also be appreciated. Thanks!

I love Citizen's Band, though I've only been for breakfast so I don't know how lively it is at dinner. Atmosphere is like a diner, but the food is far more special. I'm still thinking of my chorizo & eggs from December. Very nearby at Folsom & 8th. Just got a shout-out in the Wall St. Journal, of all places.

I'd recommend Radius as a nice spot after a couple beers. The food there is pretty good and the dining area is nice.

Would 21st Amendment be too far to go after City Beer Store? You could continue the beer tasting there (for strong beer month).

Basil Thai and Basil Canteen are within walking distance. Basil Canteen is a little further has better drink options

Citizen's Band sounds like a definite contender. 21st Amendment is too far to walk, and plus we've been there before and I was hoping to find someplace new. Thanks everyone!

2nd Citizen's band. They take reservations and it's casual and relaxed inside. I don't think Citizen's band or radius is what I'd consider lively, though.Oh! but you should definitely stop at Bloodhound across the street for a drink post-dinner.
