Sunday breakfast or brunch for large (20-30 people) group

Blumie Feb 3, 2011 06:40 AM

Any recommendations? Chelsea/Flatiron would be preferable, but willing to travel for the right place. Looking to keep costs manageable (maybe $25-$30/person before liquor). I've already reached out to The Breslin and am awaiting a response. Cookshop has an 8-person max. for Sunday brunch.

Maybe Primehouse? It's a huge restaurant and they have a nice back room that can fit that size group. The food is pretty decent and a good brunch deal which includes a drink.. Not quite Flatiron, but on 27th and Park, not too far, either.

The Breslin can't do it. (Not clear if they're booked or if they just don't do brunch for larger groups, but in any event they said no.)

'inoteca can seat 26 if you're willing to pay a room fee

Jane or The Smith both have downstairs rooms

Locanda Verde has a private room

Maialino might work if you're < 22 people:

Freemans and Peels might work as well:

Public has a nice semi private room but it only seats 20

Stanton Social can do up to 30 at the upstairs bar room:

I believe Colicchio & Sons has a private room, no idea if they do brunch.

Good suggestions, though the food/beverage minimums at Jane, Locanda Verde, and Maialino would probably exceed the OP's budget.

I love the room at Public. Thanks for the other suggestions as well, Kathryn.

            Don't worry; I won't be taking my group to Norma's! ; )
