Lobster dinner in DC?

Where can I get a steamed lobster dinner in the city this time of year? Thanks!

  1. The Prime Rib, Charlie Palmer's, or any of the steakhouses in town. McCormick and Schmick on K Street or Legal Seafood over in Rosslyn. Personally, I prefer a treatment like XO Taste's at Seven Corners. Two 1 1/2 pounders in XO sauce for 30 bucks, u pick 'em.

Just be aware that the Chinese version you'll find at XO Taste (or any other Chinese restaurant) is not steamed, but cut up and stir fried.

There is also a Legal's Seafood in Gallery Place/Chinatown.

Actually, they're wok-steamed, then cut up and finished in the XO. Outstanding.

        2. Prime Rib sometimes serves steamed lobster.

For something a little different I love the pan seared lobster at DC Coast....really delicious. But not the traditional preparation at all.

          1. The fish market on Maine St sells lobster 2- $25 and they will steam them while you wait

Go to the Captain White stall and ask for Todd he will hook you up

            2. Thank you for all the suggestions!

              1. The Palm: they normally roast the lobster but will gladly steam it for you. Most of the steakhouses in town such as Ruth's Chris, Capital Grill, Mortons, etc always have lobster on the menu
