Chicago area winetasting

My wife and I will be in Chicago on March 9th thru 13th. How would we find out about winetastings that might be held during that time in restaurants, wine shops and wine bars?

The Stained Glass restaurant, in Evanston, a suburb just north of Chicago, offers fine food and many excellent wine flights. Also every Saturday, Binny's just outside the loop offers wine tastings with 8 or so wines (at least the Highland Park store offers that many, there may be more in their north side location.

Every Saturday, Schaefer's in Skokie offers wine tastings. Sometimes they are very elaborate. Sometimes they have a visiting winemaker discussing their offerings. They do the tastings in several of the rooms, so make sure you roam around! You can see what's coming up on their website at www.schaefers.com

if you're just looking to enjoy some wine- a place you might look into is bin 36. they have a lot of wine flights you can try on the menu and also have various events
