Best places I've never been - pick one

  • 5

With all of the great choices that I am comfortable with, it is always hard to step out and try somewhere different. My list of best places I've never been is: MiLa, La Petite Grocery, Pelican Club, Bistro Daisy, Eleven 79, Broussard's, Cypress, Tommy's. Are any of these worth skipping a night at Stella, Brigtsen's or Clancy's?

All the places you listed are so different - I guess I'd put the Goddess somewhere I could eat out in the alley say in the spring. We had such a good time when we dined outside.

    2. I would pick in the following order: Stella, Tommy's, Eleven79, Mila then Brigtsen's. I have not been to the others.

      1. NEVER skip Brigtsen's. My one time at La Petite Grocery bordered on bizarre. Avoid like the plague... I know I will from here on out. From what I've heard, MiLa is the best place I've never been.

        1. my last trip included pelican club, tommy's and broussards. of the 8 places i ate that trip, pelican club was the top one. we ate at the bar, had apps, and loved them. the seafood martini came with a little potato salad in the bottom. i thought is was going to be bizarre but that potato salad was so good,i kept trying to eat more after it was all gone. at tommy's , we ate at the bar also. (we like eating at the bar) we had the oyster brochette and the crab canape. they were good, in an old school way. broussards. i always wanted to go there. we were not to hungry, but i wanted to stop in. the bartender was so friendly, we felt so at home.had the brousards salad and rue conti seafood trio. i think the food was good, but just so. but the outdoor patio is so beautiful, i would go back to eat, just to go out there. i have eaten at mila before. food was wonderful, but the decor is a little too modern feeling for my taste.
