Lunch in Sausalito
Hi everyone,
Looking for a good lunch with cocktails (not just wine and beer) in Sausalito...going to be biking across the Golden Gate Bridge and would love a fun place to stop at for lunch.
Is Horizons restaurant supposed to be good? I've read various things about it. It seems pretty, but considering I'm going to be there in 2 weeks in mid-February, does the scenic element really matter? I'm assuming people stick to eating indoors in mid February in San Francisco, but please correct me if I'm wrong.
I heard that restaurant Fish is quite good, but they only have beer and wine it seems...
Is there a place to get drinks right nearby Fish? that might work...
Any help would be much appreciated.
OR are there any other restaurants I'm really overlooking in Sausalito for lunch? Just looking for a casual place...nothing INSANELY expensive, but the cost isn't tooooooo important.
Thank you! :)

FISH is pretty cool. I like sitting outside at a picnic table, watching boats pull up to the fuel dock (some skippers are better than others) and eating a mighty-fine lunch. Beer and wine are OK for lunch.

How's Scoma's these days? We're visiting SF in mid-March and plan to visit Heath Ceramics--is that walking distance?

If you keep it simple, The Spinnaker in Sausalito has decent if unexceptional food, casual atmosphere, full bar, is open for lunch and has world class views (indoor seating) of SF, the bay, Angel Island and passing sail boats. Prices are not too high, by Sausalito standards.
Horizons' lunch time fish tacos are good, has a full bar and again the views are world class.

Cocktails, then a bike ride back across the Golden Gate bridge .... sounds like an adventure! Make mine a double, and make sure the rescue boat & ambulance are ready!
Is Ondine still in Sausalito and maybe open for lunch? not 'casual', but had a great dinner there maybe ten years ago.

For a local's location........ try Kitti's Place on Bridgeway.
Food is excellent, abundant and reasonably priced.
You can sit outside but you are basically in the parking lot so no view but the food is worth it.Weather should not be right for outdoor eating but the year......all bets are off. 70 degrees today!
For beer and wine and a bite to eat (only nibbles) afterwards (open at 3 or 4) on a pretty deck overlooking the marina, Wellingotn's Wine Bar is not too far away.

Then you'll really be living life like a local!

The food at Horizons is pretty good and if the weather's nice (entirely possible in mid-February) their deck is hard to beat.
If the weather's such that the view is not a factor, I'd go to Poggio instead.
