  1. If you want to make a drive, La EspaƱola Meats in Harbor City makes their own...

It's fairly new, I haven't been there yet, and their web page isn't fully operational; however, like the death-star, it's ready for business:

The Farmers Market is in my neighborhood. Little Spain saved me on Sunday paella night when I had 90% of my whole mise en place set up and grabbed for the bag of Valencia rice I bought from La Espanola a year ago and found the bag filled with little rice bugs.

Little Spain sold the identical brand for about 70 cents more than La Espanola but I'd say it was well worth the upcharge for the convenience (plus, they were open at 7pm!)

Spanish chorizo is also for sale at Joan's on 3rd and Monsieur Marcel.

      2. I bought chorizo at the Henry's in Monrovia on Huntington Drive

        1. Bought an excellent chorizo at Bristol Farms in So. Pasadena recently

          1. Whole Foods carries it--usually in the cheese dept. Dona Juana brand, iirc. (i believe that's the brand la espanola makes. )

            1. Bristol Farms in Newport Beach seems to be the only place in Orange County that carries Spanish chorizo

              1. As Chez Marie states--Whole Foods. La Espanola (the deli and meat market) is your go to place for Spanish food in So Cal.. They make the chorizo sold at Whole foods. Go to the La Espanola web site for info on the different sausages. Their Jamon is other worldly. If you buy the chorizo unsliced it's more reasonably priced.

                1. Surfas in Culver City. I know it's not GUD for you, but if you've never been there it's worth a pilgrimage.
