Did others see the item in today's NYT on the place opening on 6th & 20th? Anyone been yet? Beats going under the bridge, I figure.

    2. Grimaldi's is mediocre pizza, under bridge or otherwise.

      1. Still delayed, not open yet. Maybe by the end of the week. Then again, no credit cards, no slices, not for me.

        1. According to Eater.com new opening date is set for February 11.

          1. At some point I read it was to open in January and will serve slices 24/7.
I like their pizza but never thought it was worth the wait on line with the folks from Omaha.
I would give it a try whenever they finally open especially if it's 24/7.
For now my 2 AM pizza spot is Artichoke on 14 St.

My gf went by earlier in Jan and said they were giving away free slices. I wonder if they tried to open but something went wrong. Hmmm.

I certainly am willing to give them a fair shake and, unlike some others on here, not pre-judge them. When I lived in Brooklyn Heights in the 90s, I loved me some Grimaldi's!

My 2 AM pizza spot is South Brooklyn Pizza on 1st Av. near 7th St.

Enjoy. For what it's worth, I always get the margherita, never anything else.

              2. I read somewhere ; ) that they'll be opening next week, keeping the same hours as the marketplace (i.e., not 24/7), and like the other NYC locations, no reservations, slices or credit cards. Apparently they did recently give out free slices while they were seasoning the oven.
