That's available lunch m-f, not a happy hour.

It's offered with lunch, in the dining rooms. Not sure if you can just go to the bar for martinis only. Anyway ,not all martinis are 25 cents. Be careful to order from the 25 cent options, or you'll be unpleasantly surprised with your bill.

..and be careful to know what gin you are getting or you will be unpleasantly surprised with your martini. Last house offering I had should have been consumed at the Julia Street wharf with a K&B bag around it.

Last time I went, around the holidays, I was told that you could only get the 25c martinis once you got to your table. (I think it might be a little dangerously generous to allow at the bar) And yes, I wouldn't say you were getting a top shelf alcohol, but it sure was fun after 3 or 4.

Yeah, I can't really complain about the quality of a 25c drink!

You sure could have complained about mine...and I did. (It was ordered, thoughtfully, by friends at the table..they were anxiously awaiting a reaction). I ordered a Beefeater..I can sweat the extra cost..and didn't even demand the $0.25 be taken off the tab...I can be magnaimous. Subsequent efforts to give the thing away to a gravedigger across the street failed...I think he was a veteran of such things...and selling it as enbalming fluid failed. I don;t know where it is now but it must have a half-life of 1,000 years.

Oh my...I'm fairly easy-going when it comes to a fabulous cocktail deal, but even I am given pause by this...and my condolences, surely.

Then again, I've learned from experience, if you are impelled to drink cheap booze, stick with the vodkas. I swore of well Gin back when they used to let us in the bars without Ids, and "gin and tonics" were all this nervous teenager could think to order. Never. Ever. Again. Bad bad bad. I can hardly drink good Gin to this day.

the bar at commanders is very small, almost a service bar. too bad, i wish they had a nice old bar to hang out in.

$0.25 martini, lunch Monday-Friday, only comes with an entree. I have enjoyed many a Cosmo at lunch. Be very careful and take a taxi if you have consumed $1.00 worth at lunch :-)
