Unforgettable experience on a Sunday night in Paris?

So I'm looking for a really nice place for next Sunday night. It would be a bit blase to say cost is not a consideration, but I am willing to pay for somewhere which will really give us a romantic and memorable experience.

I know there are a number of posts on this already - but most of them place a limit on the price of the meal which I am okay to go over - hence the new post.

We're going to the Relais de Venise on this forum's recommendation on Saturday night - so the Bistro thing is checked off. I'd like for Sunday to perhaps be slightly more candle lit / fine food.

Any suggestions?
Jon.

  1. Candlelit on Sunday night? Sounds like Le Reminet. It's unforgettably cozy and the candles contribute a lot of the light. As for fine food, well, it doesn't really make the cut, but comes close (although I've been disappointed by their desserts).

    1. Le Cinq, La Grande Cascade, Senderens on a good night.

      1. "We're going to the Relais de Venise on this forum's recommendation on Saturday night - so the Bistro thing is checked off" - not really I am afraid. Good for the single dish they serve (steak frites) but that is all (they literally only serve one dish). So not really a bistro at all, for Parisians it is simple and good fast food i.e. great pre or post cinema, but people don't linger.

I suggest more research and a change of plan.

        1. Check out Le Dome du Marais for Saturday-- a beautiful space, an inner sanctum with a beautiful glass circular dome, and low light, subdued tones and noise, elegant service and wonderful cuisine. Quite romantic, IMHO!!

Le Dome du Marais is beautiful and the food is very good. I would also suggest checking out Monsieur Lapin.
