I rarely eat hard shell tacos, but the best I have seen recently were at Las Calaveras on Tampa just north of Roscoe. They hand make all the tortillas, huaraches and taco shells there.
My mom got the chicken hard shell tacos and the shell was light (but didn't break into a million pieces) and not greasy. The chicken was great.
It's a great little restaurant and everyone that works there really loves the food and it shows.
