New site for Pacific Coast Grill in Cardiff

I read today that PCG is moving from Solana Beach to the Charlie's spot on the beach in Cardiff. Good to finally have something in there, although I wonder what it will offer that will be different from Ki's, Chart House, etc.

... the Shanty, the Office, etc. Too many dives, too little time! Foggy's Notion really took me back. Hadn't thought of that place in a loooong time.

Speaking of dives, I miss the Surf-n-Saddle. McCaffrey sucks. They close way too early and creepy patrons. As for PCG, I like their happy hours. Decent food and reasonably priced. Good martinis too. I've been raking my brain trying to remember what was in the Yogi's location prior to them and even prior to the Italian\seafood place before them.

Before Jay's. It was there for years. Jays in Cardiff did not live up to Jays in Carlsbad. Gawd, Im old.

The building was purchased by PCG owners after the building was retrofited. Ah, yes, the Hydra, lots of memories.

I'm surprised they could afford that spot. Heard the owner was asking a ridiculous price for it. I've only been PCG once a few years back and didn't see anything that special about it. Has anyone been more recently or go regularly?

You know I heard about that possibility last spring from the manager at the Beachhouse next door. I really forgot about that when the remodel stopped during the summer, I guess it is back on track, but I will believe it when I see the doors open.
