New Wonton Garden... closing and moving

Stopped by New Wonton Garden totday at lunchtime and it seems they are closing the location on Mott Street. Actually today is the last day! I was told that the woman who ran the place has decided to retire, so her nephew and family will be moving the resturant to 79 Mulberry Street in the next few weeks. Hopefully my fave dish, Noodles stewed with Sweet and Sour Roast Pork, will make it to the new location.

Yes, it's now called HK Wonton Garden but the food is exactly the same! My coworker went to test it out and he said it was excellent as usual...

Update!
I passed by 79 Mulberry and Wonton Garden is open!
It was too early to try the food (they open at 9am and I was there around 8) but the menu in the window looked very much the same--Noodles stewed with Sweet and Sour Roast Pork is still choice C25.
Looking forward to stopping in soon.

Wow, this is bigger news than Bharain! (the country, not the restaurant).
New Wonton Garden is my favorite Chinese place by far. I reviewed it on my web site, and those who visited it raved (except one schmuck look for "ambiance.") Hopefully they'll keep the guys that cook, the delicious soups, wontons, dumplings, and most of all, the beef stew with noodles and wontons.
To think otherwise would be just too painful. Thanks for the tip.

Yep, that is Chanoddle. But I didn't hear anything about them closing. And I didn't think to pass by Mulberry St either.
