Some Thai beef, Thai iced tea and fragrant rice? Just learning Thai, nothing too 'advanced' please. Thank you.

I have had very good meals at Yes Thai, a little bit west of Andersonville. It's on Damen just north of Foster.

If we're going to include the Spoon Thai neighborhood, other recommendations would include Rosded and Opart Thai. My current favorite, Sticky Rice, is a few blocks further south.

Check out Indie Thai & Sushi on Broadway, technically, I think it's in Uptown, but they deliver to Andersonville. Good, solid Thai.

There isn't any good thai that is actually in Andersonville. Stay away from Noodle Zone on Clark. Pretty bad food most the time. But, Thai Pastry, near Andersonville on Broadway is one of my favorites. Always super authentic solid Thai food, that avoid the American-ized overly-sweet stuff you tend to find at lots of delivery joints in Chicago. I also have ordered from Ben's on Bryn Mawr and it is pretty reliable and a tad cheaper than Thai Pastry.

I agree, Thai Pastry is pretty good. So is Spoon Thai, which is in Lincoln Square - again, not exactly Andersonville but not far away.

I'm not sure what Thai restaurants are actually IN Andersonville; the only one I can think of is En-Thai-Ce, and I haven't been there.

SPOOON THAI! So good. Personally, I've now had two bad meals at Thai Pastry--overly sweet, no spice food. Spoon, as others mention, is actually Lincoln Square and not Andersonville. Andersonville is better for Japanese or Korean or of course Vietnamese a little bit further afield--not so good on Clark St. for Thai.

Today I noticed another Thai restaurant there - Mon Thai, a few doors south of M. Henry on Clark Street. www.monthaicuisine.com

Mon Thai is great. The only decent Andersonville Thai rest. Give the panang noodles a try. Pretty cheap and never a wait because no one really knows about it

In that area, my favorites are Rosded, Spoon Thai, the place near Sticky Rice, maybe the Thai Room (on Western). There used to be a place on Broadway in Edgewater just north of Thorndale that was also good; the name escapes me.
