Farmers and Fishers in Georgetown - Report

I hadn't heard much about Farmers and Fishers in Georgetown Used to be Agraria with an upscale American menu, but now serves casual fare.

The ribeye is served on mashed potatoes with a (seasonal) cabbage and kale mixture and coated with an unannounced cream sauce. Every component of this dish was oversalted, the cabbage mixture being the biggest culprit. So mostly everything tasted of salt. I am not tempted to go back.

I''m not sure about their food since I've only really had (good) guacamole. But their mixed drinks are very good. Maybe just go back for drinks on a warm day?

I've been several times - great menu, a wide variety of options at several price points, and fantastic service. I'm very sensitive to salt, but have never had the issue that you complain of - salt has always been fine on my visits. Also, for those who are wondering, tons of vegetarian options. And I agree that there are great mixed drinks as well as a really good beer selection.

I'm a fan of the sister (original), Founding Farmers. However, went to Farmers&Fishers once and was very dissapointed. The service was horrible, food was okay. I ordered a grilled cheese burger - meat was dry and it was all bread - nothing like the great burger (or grilled cheese) at Founding. Friend had a pasta that was watery. Sticking with the original.
