During peach season in the Sandhills of NC, a number of orchards sell homemade ice cream at their fruit stands. One of my favorites is Kalawi Farms on NC 211 between Pinehurst and Candor. Delicious peach ice cream made with peaches grown just down the road--you can't beat it!

Nice, Kalawi Farm set up a facebook page this year when the season started for updates. It lists the farmers markets where it sells as well. Ben's Ice Cream at the farm sounds sooo good.

In honor of National Ice Cream Month which ends tomorrow, I wanted to revive this thread. On my drive in April from Charlotte to Beaufort mostly along US 70, I passed many peach ice cream stands, must of been six or seven of them that I noticed just on my side of the road. Too early in the year for them to be open and I had to content myself with some great strawberry ice cream in Ocracoke. But I imagine that the season is in full swing now and I'd love to hear what the story is with the roadside ice cream stands and whether any are special.

Currently no Peaches and Cream on Locopops online flavor list, but there is a Peach Raspberry sorbet.
