Asian markets in Oxnard/Ventura
I'm kind of afraid to ask (because knowing Ventura County, I'll probably be disappointed), but does anyone know about any decent Asian markets in the Ventura/Oxnard area? I'm sick of doing all my shopping downstate.

The only Asian markets I know that are in Oxnard is Fuwa on Saviers and Asahi on the corner of 7th and Oxnard Blvd., I think. I can't say how decent they are but it's about the only choices you have.

FUWA is under new management. I was there today. It is about the most stocked in the west county. Asian Pantry in Ventura is closed. A couple others are not really fully stocked grocery stores, so I went online. Searched two large Asian grocers and nothing. I went to AMAZON and the had everything. Namely Chinese Black Vinegar and Sichuan Pepper. Except for basic stuff, that's the ticket unless you want to drive to Los Angeles.
