Very solid for a neighborhood restaurant, but not necessarily what I consider destination dining. On our visit, I liked the grits and sausage and the brussels sprouts starters as well as the chicken fried steak w/ chipotle-bechamel gravy, mashed Yukon Gold potatoes, and spiced braised greens (the special of the day). The confited pork shank ("Pork Osso Buco Confit") was pretty good, but I would have liked it better if it had been confited and then browned, rather than just confited. Our friends ordered the chicken and dumplings, which didn't seem to wow them. None of the several unique cocktail options really called out to me, but in the spirit of adventure I ordered the AZ Farmhand (Hendrick's gin, honey syrup, lemonade, ginger, and soda). I thought the bartender did a good job of putting the drink together, but I probably would have liked it better with rum instead of gin.
If you're in the mood for comfort food with minor twists, Beckett's Table is not a bad option, but if you're looking for the absolute best/most creative food the Phoenix metro area has to offer, you might want to consider other options.
