SumBear Jan 28, 2011 09:04 AM

I was wondering if anyone know where I can buy good quality commercial cake tin/pan at retail location. The ones used for Paper wrapped cake & egg tart ones. Thank you.

Thanks - I will be interested in the replies as I have not seen a kitchen ware shop yet (although I have not looked - only been here three weeks). I would be interested in a good all round shop with pots pans, gadgets etc. You never know when you need something specialist...!

You aren't allowed to do links anymore in CH... sigh... but if you put "hk magazine kitchen shops" in google you will find a guide done by HK magazine.

The easiest is Pantry Magic. It also has the best stock. It is pricey. Otherwise Shanghai St is fun.

I have just comeback from the "Wing On" department store in Central and they have quite a large kitchen department in the basement. It looks like a pretty standard department store with Tefal pans etc. but if you are just looking for basics it is probably OK. I am also told the Sogo Department store in Causeway Bay has quite a decent selection upstairs.
